Craig Jaffe

Areas of Expertise: Enterprise System Selection, Implementation Oversight, Project Management

Professional Background: Craig is known for bringing an open perspective to solving business problems. He has been working in the services industry since 1991. He has provided services for companies in the construction, insurance, entertainment, manufacturing, technology, public transportation, education, financial services, and retail sectors and for the U.S. Departments of Defense and Energy. He has held positions at CH2M HILL, Booz Allen Hamilton, Corio (now a division of IBM), PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and Gumbiner Savett, CPA’s. His experience includes business process improvement, software selection, IT strategy, and software implementation.

Life beyond Four Nines: Craig lives in Marin, California, with his wife, two children, and dog. When he isn't working on projects with Curtis and the rest of the team, he spends his time in the mountains, on the soccer field, or at the beach (sometimes under the water).

Curtis Pierce

Areas of Expertise: Enterprise System Selection, Implementation Oversight, Project Management

Professional Background: Curtis has almost thirty years of experience in technical project management and systems engineering. He has led the design and implementation of complex systems including data integration, advanced fare collection technologies, electronic commerce, and transaction processing. He's also an expert on fare collection practices and policies. Curtis started his enterprise software career in technical support at Symantec and rose to become Director of Worldwide Training. He then founded a company in the online payments space which he grew to over 70 employees before its acquisition by eBay. Since 2006 he has been an IT consultant for public transit.

Life beyond Four Nines: Curtis lives in Berkeley, California, with his family. When he isn’t working on projects with Craig and the rest of the team, he enjoys skiing and traveling with his family, and rowing in the Oakland Estuary.

Kathleen Gilligan

Areas of Expertise: Enterprise System Selection, Implementation Oversight

Professional Background: Kathleen solves client problems with the creativity, humor and wisdom gleaned over many years of management. She has worked with technology companies in a variety of roles including sales, marketing, training, and executive management. These experiences have given her the ability to quickly understand a client’s culture, organization and politics, as well as the impact of technology on those elements. In her time with Four Nines, Kathleen has assisted transit agencies with business process improvement and stakeholder engagement, and with software selection and implementation, for enterprise asset management (EAM) and ERP systems. Prior to Four Nines, Kathleen held executive positions with AMR Research (now Gartner), Symantec, and consulted to ERP, security, and digital asset management clients.

Life beyond Four Nines: In her time off, Kathleen’s kitchen becomes a laboratory for culinary experiments.

Amy Martin

Areas of Expertise: Enterprise System Selection, Implementation Oversight, Strategy & Planning

Professional Background: Amy brings more than 10 years of experience in transit technology. She currently works on fare collection, fare policy, and transit technology projects with the Four Nines team. Previously, Amy supported the design, testing, and implementation of the Sacramento region's first smart card fare payment system as a transportation planner at SACOG. Amy holds a B.S. in Environmental Policy Analysis & Planning from UC Davis and a Master's of City Planning from UC Berkeley.

Life beyond Four Nines: Outside of work, Amy enjoys watching Jeopardy! with her dog and husband and volunteering with HOBY, a leadership organization for high schoolers.

 

Christina Winberry

Areas of Expertise: Fare Policy, Community Engagement, Transportation Planning, GIS

Professional Background: Christina has experience in transportation planning, community engagement and outreach, and data analysis and visualization with GIS. Previously, Christina supported a research project on the equity implications of automated payment fare systems in public transportation with the Transportation and Research Education Center at Portland State University. Christina holds a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from Portland State University and a B.A. in Anthropology from Bryn Mawr College. 

Life beyond Four Nines: Christina’s passion for public transportation started on the rails, buses, and subways of Philadelphia. Today, she lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband, dog, and cat. You can find Christina hiking and skiing across the Pacific Northwest, or traveling the world via train.

 

maeve clements

Areas of Expertise: Strategy and Planning, Fare Policy, Benchmarking and Best Practice

Professional Background: Maeve has nearly 20 years experience in transport strategy and planning, survey design and benchmarking and best practice analysis. She has worked for both Transport for London and MTA New York City Transit leading complex research and evaluation projects.

Life beyond Four Nines: Outside of work, Maeve enjoys dancing ballet and is an avid rugby supporter.
